Il a obtenu son doctorat en arch\u00e9ologie et histoire de l\u2019art \u00e0 l\u2019UCLouvain pour ses recherches consacr\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019iconographie religieuse et aux pratiques cultuelles dans la sph\u00e8re priv\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque imp\u00e9riale romaine. La recherche de provenance est au c\u0153ur de ses travaux qui explorent la \u00ab&nbsp;biographie culturelle&nbsp;\u00bb des \u0153uvres au sein des collections dont il a la charge. Elle est actuellement chercheuse post-doctorante au&nbsp; Centre d&rsquo;histoire sociale des mondes contemporains (CHS UMR 8058), gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un financement du LabEx DynamiTe, et travaille sur le patrimoine kanak dispers\u00e9. Boursi\u00e8re Immersion du LabEx Cr\u00e9ation Arts Patrimoines (CAP) en 2020, elle fut charg\u00e9e de recherche de provenances au mus\u00e9e national Picasso-Paris. Entre 2021 et 2023, elle occupa le poste d&rsquo;Attach\u00e9e temporaire d&rsquo;enseignement et de recherche (ATER) en mus\u00e9ologie au sein d&rsquo;Avignon Universit\u00e9 et de chercheuse au Centre Norbert Elias (UMR 8562). Elle est diplom\u00e9e d&rsquo;un doctorat en Arch\u00e9ologie et Histoire de l\u2019art (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) et du DU en Recherche de provenances (Universit\u00e9 Paris Nanterre). Vanessa a travaill\u00e9 au sein des Mus\u00e9es royaux d\u2019art et d\u2019histoire de Bruxelles et du Metropolitan Museum of Art, et enseigne actuellement \u00e0 l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Gand. En poste depuis 10 ans chez Artprice (information du march\u00e9 de l&rsquo;art), elle se sp\u00e9cialise en recherche de provenance avec le D.U. de l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 Paris Nanterre (Promotion Moliko 2024\/25) afin d&rsquo;en appliquer les principes de tra\u00e7abilit\u00e9 et de transparence au march\u00e9 de l&rsquo;art. Elle a effectu\u00e9 des recherches universitaires sur les t\u00e9moignages oraux de la Shoah ainsi que leur pr\u00e9sentation dans les salles d\u2019exposition&nbsp;; exp\u00e9rience qui l\u2019a men\u00e9e \u00e0 se sp\u00e9cialiser dans la recherche de provenance sous le national-socialisme. Forte d\u2019une exp\u00e9rience professionnelle dans un cabinet de g\u00e9n\u00e9alogie au service des assurances, Zo\u00e9 Meyer est aujourd\u2019hui chercheuse de provenance ind\u00e9pendante. Elle fait ses armes, pendant une dizaine d\u2019ann\u00e9e \u00e0 la direction d\u2019une galerie de second march\u00e9, bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Paris et coordonne le bureau de New York durant les deux premi\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. Elle fonde Wit Art en 2017, r\u00e9sultat de son observation des dynamismes et des \u00e9volutions du secteur du march\u00e9 de l\u2019art. Elle s\u2019int\u00e9resse aux questions de recherche de provenances, de gestion mus\u00e9ale, de dynamiques territoriales, de paysage urbain historique, et d\u2019imaginaire d\u2019am\u00e9nagement.
