SUMMARY:Formations et circulations : enseignement de l’artisanat en contexte colonial et postcolonial XIXe-XXIe siècle
DESCRIPTION:Ce colloque propose d’étudier la circulation de la transmission du geste et des techniques en contexte colonial et postcolonial\, du XIXe au XXIe siècle. L’exotisation occidentale des peuples colonisés et de leur culture matérielle n’a certainement pas commencé avec l’ère coloniale moderne ; mais l’artisanat a acquis une signification symbolique et économique en tant qu’outil de l’empire pendant l’entre-deux-guerres. S’il ne s’agit pas d’occulter les différentes formes d’enseignement (guildes\, écoles) précédant la colonisation\, se pencher sur la transmission et l’enseignement coloniaux de l’artisanat permet une interrogation de sa définition et de ses usages – y compris politiques et idéologiques – en contexte colonial et postcolonial au plus proche de sa conceptualisation locale. \nEn partenariat avec le laboratoire HAR (université Paris Nanterre) \nComité scientifique\nBaptiste Buob (laboratoire d’ethnologie et de sociologie comparative\, CNRS)\, Marie-Charlotte Calafat (Mucem\, Marseille)\, Rachel Dedman (Victoria and Albert Museum\, Londres)\, Coline Desportes (EHESS)\, Jessica Gerschultz (université de St Andrews)\, Sarah Ligner (musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac)\, Maureen Murphy (HAR\, université Paris Nanterre)\, Aurélie Petiot (laboratoire InVisu\, CNRS / INHA)\, Victoria L.
